Happy heart embossing and chalkboard card

happy-hearts-chalkboard Hi Everyone

This is the first time that I have used black on any card other than a sympathy card.  I don’t have anything against black per se, I just simply hadn’t considered using.

However that was until I saw the most gorgeous card created by the very talented Joanna James from The Crafty Owl where she used black and pink along with the Happy Heart embossing folder.  I fell in love with her idea right then and there and have cased it as the basis for my card today.  The rest of the card design is my own.

Berry basket three ways

berry-basket-razzleberryHi Everyone

Have you come across the new Berry Basket Bigz die from the Spring / Summer catalogue yet?

It makes the most adorable baskets which are incredibly simple to put together.  And the really good part?  They are plenty big enough to fill with lots of gorgeous goodies – chocolates,  toiletries or why not use them as their name suggests and fill them with berries.

Irresistibly Yours and Painted Petals

irresistibly-yours-painted-petals-ssHi Everyone

In today’s card I have used the gorgeous Painted Petals stamps.  This is such a pretty stamp set and I really love the abstract, watercolour finish that you can easily achieve with these stamps.

I’ve teamed the stamps up with the new specialty paper, Irresistibly Yours.  This paper is only available in the Sale-a-Bration catalogue and you can get it free up until March 31st with any order of £45.

Hello You Thank You Card

hello-you-thanks Hi Everyone

I’m loving the new Hello You thinlets that were released with the Spring / Summer catalogue  – what a fabulous way to add a ‘look at me’ sentiment.  I’ve used the ‘Thanks’ die on this card but you could choose from ‘Hello’, ‘You’ and ‘Happy’.

They can be used on their own, just like I have here.  However, they work incredibly well with the ‘Crazy About You’ stamp set where they really come into their own and give you literally dozens of different sentiments that you can combine.  And even better, you can save yourself 15% by getting them as a bundle.

Sweet little handbags to hold two Green & Blacks chocolates

handbags-2coloursHi Everyone

I’m always thinking of sweet little gifts that I can make and send out to my wonderful customers who place an order with me.  So with that brief in mind I designed these adorable handbags which perfectly hold two individually wrapped Green and Blacks luxury chocolates.

The handbags are not only pretty but they also have a really lovely closing mechanism.  Instead of ribbons or buttons I chose to use magnets which I covered with co-ordinating card so that they are almost hidden.  But when you bring down the front flap they close with that pleasing pull that you can only get from using magnets.

Something lacy card with heat embossing

something-lacy-note-tag-blackberrybliss Hi Everyone

I did mean to make a completely different card today as I have so many new stamps from the new spring/summer catalogue to show you. But I can’t seem to leave this gorgeous Something Lacy stamp on the shelf – especially after having the idea of heat embossing it to make it look like real lace.

The photos don’t do it justice, the effect is stunning when you see it up close.
